Symptoms
Varicose Veins
These are veins that protrude above the skin surface, and are usually caused by venous reflux and venous hypertension. They can produce pain in the leg or itching of the overlying skin, can erode through the skin and bleed, and can clot. All of these complications of the condition are avoidable or can be improved with appropriate therapy, after the underlying cause is identified by duplex ultrasound or other diagnostic tools. The VINJ has available the resources needed to correctly diagnose the causes of varices and treat them with several different available techniques.
