Spider Veins?   Get Your Legs Ready for Summer

Morristown—Since 1986, the board certified doctors of the Vein Institute of New Jersey, have provided  exceptional patient care to our New Jersey communities and the tri-state area.  Patients and doctors from all over the world come the Vein Institute for both treatment and or training. The Institute’s state of the art facilities and use of the very latest technologies make the Vein Institute of New Jersey one of the top treatment locations in the world.

Dr. Agis, Moritz and Ombrellino agree that “as spring approaches, many of our patients are already thinking about wearing shorts and bathing suits during the summer months. We always see a surge of patients in the late winter and early spring, all looking forward to removing those unsightly spider veins.”  The doctors at the Vein Institute have great pride in the fact that this practice was first in the State of New Jersey to be solely dedicated to the treatment of venous problems.

In addition to the simple treatment of removing spider veins and facial veins, the Institute also provides the latest laser techniques for the removal of varicose veins.

The doctors added, “Our minimally invasive vein procedures can be done in the office with no surgery, no general anesthesia and little to no downtime. This is a great advantage to our patients with busy lifestyles.  The procedures are quick and involve minimal discomfort.  In most cases, after treatment, a patient can simply walk out of the office and resume normal activities the same day”.

Since varicose veins can often be hereditary, many patients have seen their grandparents or parents go through the traditional procedure, with great concern. During the “old fashioned” vein stripping procedure, the surgeon would make an incision at the groin and the knee after which time a “stripper tool” would be pulled through the saphenous vein, removing it. This procedure was often done under general anesthesia, requiring, a 2-3 day hospital stay with recovery time of around 4 weeks.

“Thankfully for our patients, this is no longer the case. We are so pleased to announce that we can offer them alternative treatments for the removal of those unsightly varicose veins”.

The Vein Institute of New Jersey also offers a fully ICAVL accredited Vascular Laboratory. We have full screening capabilities for our patients as well as for those in the general public. Many other facilities may have to send their patients out to another testing facility. Each day, patients are screened for both venous and arterial disease, (Carotid, Renal, Aortic Aneurysm, Clots etc).

The warm and caring staff at the Vein Institute will ensure that your visit will be professional, courteous and prompt.

The faculty of physicians at the Vein Institute of New Jersey are all board certified vascular specialists and are considered to be some the of the world’s foremost authorities on the treatment of both venous and arterial problems.
