Lowell S. Kabnick, Founder and Director of The Vein Institute of New Jersey, is a world-renowned surgeon-teacher whose patient-centered approach to vein care has enabled him to create and improve a number of today’s most advanced non-invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Kabnick is recognized by his peers as an international authority on the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. He was the first vascular surgeon in the United States to perform the Closure™ (radiofrequency) procedure and the VenaCure™ (laser) procedure--two recently approved breakthrough technologies for treating the underlying causes of many varicose vein problems.
Because of Dr. Kabnick’s achievements, and his reputation as a personable yet professional care giver, he not only attracts patients locally, but also nationally and internationally.
Highly sought after as a consultant and teacher by medical societies the world over, he has consistently been recognized as one of the areas “Top Doctors” and has recently been named in the Guide to “Americas Top Surgeons”.
A graduate with Special Honors from the George Washington University School of Medicine, he received his postdoctoral graduate school training at New York University, Bellevue Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center and later conducted his Advanced Vascular Fellowship at the prestigious Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Kabnick has been appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the New Jersey Medical School and Senior Attending Physician in the Department of Surgery at Morristown Memorial Hospital and is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Phlebology, American College of Surgery, American Venous Forum, and the Society of Vascular Surgery.
He limits his practice solely to venous diagnosis and treatment.
